Distinctive Features of Šibenik
It is the home to a number of excellent restaurants offering local and international cuisine. You can choose between traditional restaurants, known as “konoba”, wineries or fine dining restaurants.
Each year, Šibenik hosts various national and international cultural and music events, taking place at the historic center of the city and its famous fortresses.

National Park Kornati
Kornati Islands represent the most indented island group in the whole Mediterranean and they are placed in the Northern Dalmatia, not far from Šibenik. They're the densest archipelago in the Mediterranean. Nowhere else in this large sea is such a great number of islands crammed in so little space.
This true labyrinth of the sea and stone consists of 140 uninhabited islands, islets and cliffs with the area of only 70 square kilometers.
Their numerous coves, capes, underwater cliffs and rocks are very appealing to divers and visitors looking for adventures, while drywalls on the Kornati islands are constant silent witnesses to the arduous work the farmers put into the unfruitful, rocky soil surrounded by crystal clear sea.
National Park Krka
Krka National Park lies within Šibenik-Knin County, and covers a total area of 109 km² of the loveliest sections of the Krka River, and the lower course of the Čikola River.
The national park is a vast and primarily unaltered area of exceptional natural value, including one or more preserved or insignificantly altered ecosystems. The purpose of the park is primarily to serve science, culture, education and recreation, while tourism activities have also been introduced for its visitors.
